To celebrate the upcoming film Pokemon the Movie: Coco, Pokemon Sword and Shield players will soon be able to earn Ash Ketchum’s iconic hat. The hat will be part of the upcoming Isle of Armor DLC, one of the Switch’s most significant expansions to date.

To earn the hat, players will need to have the new mythical Pokemon Zarude in their party and visit an attendant at the Taxi Station. Players without the DLC will still be able to earn the hat when they watch the movie, but details about how that will work are still scarce.
Previously, players were able to get a Pikachu with Ash’s hat by using Pokemon Home, though it should look particularly cool on players as they travel around the Galar region. Pokemon Sword and Shield have been fairly well-received since launch, despite some drama over the National Dex, and Ash’s hat is certainly a cool new addition.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are available now for Nintendo Switch.
